How do I add the big F that links to my facebook page?

  • I’m not sure of my WP version. But I’d like to know how to put that big F on my site that takes people to my facebook page. I’m not talking about a share button. I’m also not talking about something that puts my posts on facebook. I just want that F (and the t for twitter) that brings people over to my page. Thanks!

    I guess maybe I am. I just know on other blogs I follow they have the big icons on their site that take you to their facebook page. Like on this blog… see how she has the icons in her header? How do I do that?

    You need to get an icon set or just the Facebook F icon and then add it to your themes/images folder.
    Then use a text widget to add the html link to your facebook page using the icon in the link:

    Like so:

    OMG… I thought it would just be something easy. I wanted to click on something and make it happen! LOL I will try to figure that out tomorrow. I appreciate your help! I’m determined to learn.

    I’m trying to do this, but I’m lost. I only want facebook and email icon, maybe twitter too. Where do I get those? And I can’t find my themes/images folder. I’m using Basically theme. I think this is going to be too much for me! lol or boo hoo hoo is more like it.

    I think I somewhat have it figured out. I have an icon now and it works. At first it was gigantic, but I’m working on it. Thank you for your help.

    You could also try the Social Media Widget plugin. This lets you add a wigdet and choose form a huge list of links to social media sites (even your own custom links). You can choose from one of four icon sets.
