• ISSUE No.1
I’m a newborn to WordPress. And I’m using the Onetone (free) template. I’ve ran into a few issues that I need help with. My WordPress website is https://www.sespiderproductions.com.
    ISSUE No.1
My biggest issue is that I can’t figure out how to add my blog to the website theme. I want to call the section “News” and have it placed above the About section. But to do that, I first need to learn how to add the blog to the site/section. I’ll like to make the TWO most recent posts show up.

    ISSUE No.2
I don’t know what I did to cause this, but the Nav Bar’s “About” link are not working. The (move down) button that appears in the header graphic/video (currently not visible) is suppose to move down to the next section and is not working.

    ISSUE No.3
I have a secondary URL that points to my WordPress site (listed above) but the icons in the Services” section do not appear when viewed from that URL. This link is https://www.sespider.com

    ISSUE No.4
I’ve noticed that once the browser is resized to the point that the nav bar disappears, the nav bar does not reappear upon maximizing the browser.

    ISSUE No.5
If I purchase the Onetone theme, will I be able to add additional pages? And if so, then how do I do it?

Thank for any and all help.

Appearance – Menus – Links (add your blog with the name you want)

    ISSUE No.2
Didn’t work for me too – removed it

    ISSUE No.3
You probably didn’t change the icons correctly – check you code.

    ISSUE No.4
    I don’t know

    ISSUE No.5
You can add pages now: Pages – Add new
Then go again into Appearance – Menus and add the page so that it’s displayed in the menu

My current menu is not showing up under Appearance > Menus.
This is preventing me from adding to my current menu.

I’ve figured this out. Apparently, the theme does not like it when I add a space in the link. I changed it back from ‘About Us’ to simple “About” and it worked again.

I’ve checked that. The icons do work. But when I forward my other URL to this one (with same nameservers, these icons vanish and give a tiny error image instead.

It’s something I’m just going to have to live with.

This goes back to issues no.1

Can I add one of my homepage sections to be above the slider? For example

    Nav Bar
    Homepage Section 1
    Slider
    Homepage Section 2
    Homepage Section 3
    Homepage Section 4
    Homepage Section 5
    Homepage Section 6

This is old-ish but I’m working with this theme right now and as a moderately experienced WordPress user (and the fact that this came up high on Google search) I’m going to share some info real quick.

    • You can indeed add menu items. By default the OneTone sections seem to generate their own menu. If you add a menu to the header location in Appearance > Menus and don’t put items in it, the entire menu will break. Just add a dummy link if you have to for checking how the menus form.
    • Adding your own pages is easily doable like my first bullet – be warned that the theme was designed for one page only it seems. The “default” look of a Page is pretty bad. I’m investigating how to concurrently run multiple themes because of this. I’ve tried editing the css file, it just made things worse. Not sure how MageeWP put this together (I’m not a programmer – I’m a sys admin)
    • The “About” link is tied to the ‘menu-slug’ – you might have edited your slug and therefore broken the link – this is true for the mid-page link in the body. Everyone should keep that in mind.
    • Secondary URLs are fine and won’t break anything as long as they’re REDIRECTS to the primary URL. Pointing them straight to a wordpress installation configured for the primary URL will cause all kinds of things not to work correctly. WP could fix that without too many problems but it’s probably not worth the time.

    Take that, Google.

To add more pages change the “Content Sections Num” to a greater number and hit save
