[SOLVED] How do I add avatars to the wordpress?

Hi there…. I can not work out how a user can upload or offsite link to avatar images for there wordpress account so the image shows up when they comment.

I have it enabled.. and when they post I currently have the selected “default” avatar option…. but I can see no way to upload avatars.. there isno upload or offsite linking options in the user control pannel.

I do not wish to use gravatars as only a tiny portion of readers will bother to register on the gravatar site and go though all that pain… is there a way for users to upload there own avatars in the same manner that popular forum software uses like SMF, or PHPbb3 … as in a sinple “upload avatar” or “link to offsite avatar” option?
