How do I add an external url to a gallery image in the standard WP gallery?

  • I can’t figure out why WordPress won’t let me add a URL to a gallery image. There is a space to add one or at least show the address when I click on one of the 3 buttons below it. It just won’t save anything I type in the box. Is this a WordPress problem or is that box only to display the address when you click a button? It would make sence just to let us save a link to anything we want to type in.
