An earlier post about IE 11 had a link to a website using Longevity. I love the top bar where he has a neat little search box to the right of the social menu. I used Developer to copy code–but I’m not sure how/where to apply it. (I managed to activate the search function, but the box is ugly, and I can’t put it on top where I want it.) Here’s the website URL where I saw what I want: https://vbemsdemo.azurewebsites.net/

Thank you for your help– and I screwed up. I’ve never reviewed a theme before, and I couldn’t believe some of the negative reviews. So I went to give Longevity a 5-star review–and it popped up with 2 stars. Maybe you know how to delete that or fix it. All I could do was edit the post to say how many stars were intended. Sorry.

Good to hear….as for newsletters, the only one I have right now off my site is for new theme announcements and updates for the pro versions. For the blog, I’ve been a little slow with putting out tutorials, but that will change soon once I get this next theme of mine completed (should be later this week).

Is it safe to set this topic as resolved?

LOL. It quit. It doesn’t work on your demo site either tho.. It’s still beautiful on Firefox. And the search is fine there.

Well…I’m at a loss. I just tried my own demo site with Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari, IE 11, and IE Edge. All have functional search.

Perhaps get a friend to try it out on their computer, preferably someone with Edge if this is the browser you’re experiencing this issue.

Anyway, there still seems to be something with your Edge browser perhaps; not sure. But, with this theme version, you can temporarily disable the top search by going to the customizer >> Site Options, and uncheck the box for it.

If you are using IE Edge, I’m going to assume you are using Windows 10 ?

OK. It’s strange, because it’s worked 4 out of 5 times in the last several hours. I’m in Maintenance Mode now — attempting to find a simple log-in plug-in that doesn’t send registrants to admin panel. I suspect the numerous plug-in installs/uninstalls may be what’s switching the search on & off in Edge.

…or just wait until you go live and then I can take a quick try of the search on my end.
