How do I add a hyperlink button to my blog?

  • New to WP, setting up my blog for a long motorcycle trip next week. I want to create a button/widget on the right sidebar with a hotlink to another website called Spotwalla, where readers can click and see our progress each day. I tried and did create a widget, but the link was not hypertext. any ideas on how to do this?
