I would like to add the following sliding gallery but can’t figure out how:
    https://www.andersnoren.se/themes/fukasawa/the-design-ethos-of-naoto-fukasawa/#

I have tried several different ways and haven’t had luck making it work. I read through the other posts but didn’t seem to find an answer…

This is what I am doing:
    1. I add a new post
    2. I select “gallery” under format
    3. I add a Featured Image
    4. I go into the body of the post and add images from my media library
    5. I publish the site

All I see when I view the page are all of the photos one after the other. Are they supposed to automatically show in the sliding gallery?

I also created a gallery in the media library and inserted that into the body of the post thinking it would do the trick… but it only added another set of images in the post.

I love this theme and I really want to make it work, please help!

  • hi, I posted it before. hope it will help:

I was puzzled all day, trying to resolve the problem.
And eventually did it with success. Let me share it with you, and I hope you will be able to have your slider going.

    1. Delete the post completely from your post menu as well as from the trash menu as well.
    2. Prepare all images (same size). If you already uploaded them to the media library before (for previous use), then you should remove them from the library, rename them and upload them back to the library again (remember: all images must be the same size).
    3. Create new Post
    4. Upload images from media library into the post (no needs to upload featured image)
    5. check the Gallery option from the Format menu
    6. and click Update
    7. Then you can view the post in order to be sure that slider is there and up for running. But you still will see the uploaded images on that post as well. In order to remove them and keep just a slider running on the post do the next:
    8. Go back to Edit Post and click on each single image and delete them.
    9. After you deleted all of them, click Update again and then View the Post.
10.Your slider should running without problem.

If you will need to add some text under the slider you can go back to the edit post and add your text.

Hope this will help you to resolve the problem with your gallery slider.

    Good luck ??

Note1: images can be different size (but sometimes the slider doesn’t look nice on the entire posts page)
Note2: all images for one particular gallery slider must be uploaded on the same post (not on different post)

    Hi redloja,

    From the readme.txt file:

    # Use the gallery post format
    --------------

    1. Go to Admin > Posts > Add New.
    2. Select the "Gallery" post format in the Post Attributes box.
    3. Click "Add Media" and upload the images you wish to display in the gallery.
    4. Close the Media window and publish/update the post.
    5. The images you uploaded should now be displayed in the post gallery.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Anders, I tried this and it did not work. It just shows the images in the post one after the other. Also there wasn’t an image from the post that was displayed on the homepage, it just showed the caption. Once you click on the caption you can see the post with images displayed one after the other. I want to have it like the theme website has it where there is a slider on the homepage and in the post. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

I have the same problem ?? I would really like to gave an answer to this as well

I found I had to insert all images I wanted for the gallery into the post itself and then update. I could them go back in and delete the images from the post with the gallery still displaying.
