How do I add a banner (ad) to my homepage only?

    I need to add a 650×100 banner (advertisement) below the header and page menu and right above the Latest Story. I’d like it to only show up on the homepage.

    I tried going to Appearance > Editor > Header > and entered the code at the bottom. The banner showed up but it shows up on every page instead of just the homepage.

    Is it possible to have it only show up on the homepage? I am using the Magazine Basic theme.
