  • Hi,
I’m not sure I understand your question. If you’d like to edit the CSS of Contact Form 7 to change the style of your created forms, you’ll need to manually edit this file, but it’s not available in admin. You would have to FTP the file and edit it, or some other manual file editing method.

    /wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/styles.css

Or you can try overriding its style by editing style.css of the theme that you’re using.

If you’re just wondering if the CSS of Contact Form 7 is active on your site, just go to any form page you’ve set up, and you’ll see its CSS in the head section of your page.

I indeed tried to override its style by editing style.css but then it’s says that this is an inactive file so any changes I make won’t show. I don’t know how to make it active.

I want to try your first advice but I don’t know how. Can you give me some instructions?

That may simply be that you need to change the file permissions on your style.css file to allow it to be edited. (If I understand you correctly).

Yes, I think that may be the solution. Do you know how I can change the permission?

If your host has an admin system, such as CPanel, you can do it with the File Manager, otherwise you can do it with an FTP program.
