• Hello all,
I have an article directory named – Affiliate Products Shop
I set under Setting –> General – Anyone can register as –> Subscriber.
After the register to the site they can post articles, the Subscriber Registration supposed to READ and manage his PROFILE as I know by the ROLE, How come they can POST ARTICLES or POST? Need some help here. Is there anything I can do or edit to stop that from happening?
    Thanks
    Max

  • Do you have a membership plugin of some kind activated on your site ? I suppose it’s overriding the default wp behaviour.

    Hi
No I did install Membership plugin today only but did not activate it because I am not familiar with it. I have Roles and Capabilities install but it also show that subscriber can read only articles. Is there anything I can do with the basic WP Setting? Or I do need a plugin for that?
    Thanks

By default, subscribers can only manage their profile. So, something is over-riding the capabilities. Try deactivating all your plugins and switch to the Twenty Twelve theme.

But If I’ll switch theme I will lose my content and data I think.
I’ll try with the plugin first.
    Thanks

I registered on your site, added an article and received the following message:

Thank you! Your article has been added and is awaiting review by the administrator.

Right I know – But when I set the Anyone can register with – SUBSCRIBER ROLE I would like to APPROVE THEM BEFORE THEY send posts.
    Is that possible?
    Thanks

Even when I change the register to CONTRIBUTOR – They can also SUBMIT Articles , and they shouldn’t right?
