How can you deactive a plug in when you can not login

  • Hi, I am using WordPress 1.5.3 and at the moment, I can’t login in any more. I would like to try to deactivate the shortstats plugin, but how can you do this properly when you can’t log in? I have ftp access to the folder and also confixx access. Can I manipulate something in the mySQL database directly to deactivate the plug in?
