The date takes up too much space in my structured data, plus I began my site two decades ago, so the date makes it seem not to be current information. How can I stop Yoast structured data from starting with a date?

Thanks for reaching out here. By default, Yoast SEO outputs the datePublished and dateModified date in the structured data markup. We are afraid to say that there’s no option available built right into the plugin as these are two important structured data properties which removing them could cause potential errors.

However, if you’d still like to disable both of them from your website, you’ll need to perform the customization on your own by following the developer guidelines we have available here: https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/api

Note: we are afraid to say that we won’t be able to offer you the exact custom code that you’d need to disable the relevant structured data properties on your website.

Thanks. It’s more a matter or decided whether I use Yoast again, and pay for Pro again, or not. I think I’ll go with other options.

    Thank you.

Thanks. I used it on a few sites, and was considering buying again. But, I doubt it would be useful.
