How can standard user shortcodes be put into url links in Newsletter?
-
Hello, thank you for your amazing plugin.
I’m trying to use shortcodes for user:firstname and user:lastname in the URL of buttons that users click in my newsletter.
If they click the YES button, I want it to take them to a specific page with their first name and last name appended in a querystring.
Here’s the page:
When I hard code or copy and paste the URL, it works, as you will (hopefully) see if you test it.
But, I want to auto feed the user’s first name and last name into this URL link.
When I tried a sample email, it left the unencoded [user:firstname] or [user:lastname] on the other side.
FYI, I’m using your wonderful MailPoet plugin v. 2.6.16 in conjunction with RSVP Plugin.
Thank you!!
