How can I upload a pdf and make it searchable for search engines?

  • For example I have this document here:
    [ redundant link removed ]

    ^^ But that link page is NOT under my “pages”. So how can I add the slugs and meta description for the document and have it available for the search engines to search it?

  • As long as the link to the PDF file is on a page that can be crawled and indexed, the PDF file will be indexed too. You can’t add a meta description and other meta data for a PDF file through WordPress. That needs to be done in the PDF document itself before it’s uploaded.

    What? Are you super 100% sure on that? As in beyond the reasonable doubt?

    How do I include metadata in the pdf before uploading it? And.. would it be recognize for the search engines to show all the slugs and description?
