• Hi,

I’m planning to use your plugin at a danish web site, but I can’t figure out how to translate it. I’ve tried Loco Translate, but it only finds the following four strings:
    1) EntryWizard
    2) http:
    3) Josie Stauffer
    4) Uploading by logged-in users of sets of image files and associated data. Administrators may download the images together with the data in spreadsheet form.

A little guidance would be much appreciated ??

    All the best,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I’m really sorry, but the plugin is not set up for translation. There is a certain amount of work involved in setting it up, and I’m just one person with a limited amount of time and energy.

I did try to make sure that most of the user-visible text can be customized by the admin, but the admins themselves really do need to understand English.

In the more than 5 years this plugin has been available, yours is only the second request I’ve had for non-English support, so the job of readying it for translation has been pushed down my to-do list.

If there were more requests, I might give it higher priority. Or I’d be very happy if another coder would step in.

    Hi Josie,

Thank you, that’s a shame. But the user-visible text is really also the most important part.

Where can I edit the text of the submit button “Add, Change or Delete”?

And what needs to be done in order to translate the plugin with Loco Translate?

I had not heard of Loco Translate before. It looks as if it may have tools that could speed up the process of readying the code for translation. I’ll look into it.

If I can’t set it up for translation, I will at least add in the next version a few more options to customize the front-end. Unfortunately, it may be a while before I have time to do that.

That sounds great! We would love to have support for localization via Loco Translate ??

In case someone else is in search for a solution, I’ve found this little plugin which allows you to change text etc. on the fly: “Real-Time Find and Replace”. Not the best solution, but it does the job ??

    Hi Michael,

I’ve just released version 1.3.13. To the best of my ability I’ve set it up so that the front-end strings should be translatable.

If I missed any strings, please let me know!

The sheer amount of documentation in the popups on the back-end mean that making it translation-ready is a daunting task. I’m not sure if and when I could find the time to do it.
