How can i stop my blogs contributors from posting duplicate content?

  • How can i stop my blogs contributors from posting duplicate content? I have had many contributors try to post word for word what is posted on other websites.. I have a policy that if a post is duplicate that it will not be posted..

    Shoot, just realized today that altho the posts may not actually be posted, being in draft makes them visable.. is that bad for google?

    anyways, the main question i have, is there a plugin that can search the web to see whether the content is duplicate content??

    I had the same problem on my article directory This is Freelance and a few other smaller sites. Even though I had it on invite only I still had people posting duplicate content every other day.

    I did however find a premium plugin that does the job at https://www.nicheplugin.com/plugins/duplicate-content-filter/ It does cost $50, and you have to pay Yahoo API fees ($0.40 per thousand searches) which is pretty cheap. It has however saved me an hour every morning checking posts on every multi author blog I own!
