How can I show styling in the post excerpts?

  • Is there a way? I have the posts set to only show a certain amount of words through < ?php the_excerpt(); ?>. Is there a way to show styling? If not, what would be the next best way?

    You could place the_excerpt inside a div with an associated class and do some very basic styling on that but the only element you’d have to play with would be the p tag.

    Use the_content and the <!--more--> tag?
