how can i show category posts in boxes in my theme’s index.php?

  • hello! since yesterday i work on the index.php category boxes problem.
    here is the problem:
    how can i add boxes to my index.php? these boxes will be as 2 columns in the index.php and each box will show the last post of the category. and whenever i add post box will be updated. i looked at loop and if in category(‘x’) and couldn’t resolve.
