How can I setup an automatic email/newsletter for new recipes (not posts)

    I tried setting up an automatic newsletter to go out once a week, whenever there is new content.

    The newsletter did go out on the expected time, but instead of the latest “recipe” post that I had published, it sent the last “post”! This post was from 6 months back. How can I get this newsletter to send out a mail to my list when I publish a new recipe? I publish recipes once a week.

  • It looks like “recipes” are not posts, but Custom Post Type. In that case, you’ll need to edit your automatic newsletter, remove your automatic latest content widget from the newsletter editor, and then re-add it. As soon as you drag the widget back into the editor, a pop-up window will appear. There, you can choose the type of posts you want to send to your subscribers.
