• I have created a large number of projects on my wordpress site, is there a way to allow certain users to edit a particualr project but no others?

I only want these users to be able to edit a particular project, with no access to other projects or ability to post etc.

is this possible? Any help would be great thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @gpwillment

What do you mean by projects? Can you give more details? Regarding user permissions, you can set the role when adding a new user in the Users option on the left sidebar.

Roles in the user profile doesn’t give you very fine grained control. Even with better control of user capabilities, there needs to be something relating to each project which dictates who can manage which project. By default, WP only allows such control by post type as a whole, not individual projects. This added control can be custom coded, but before attempting something like that, try a few of the existing membership plugins.
