How can I remove trojan horse from my wordpress

  • I have a trojan horse on my wordpress blog that needs to be removed. This is the second time i have had this. I need to know how can I remove this trojan horse from my blog and also how to prevent this from occurring again.

  • There should some suspicious code added in pages. I suggest you upload clean files of WOrdPRess and theme.

    To avoid such issue,
    – Keep all your installation up-to-date in your web site.
    – Keep strong passwords.
    – Remove unwanted plugins.
    – Regularly change your passwords.
    – Assign only required permissions to folders and files.

    Google Analyticator
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Gravatar Widget
    Platinum SEO Pack
    Sociable
    Wibiya Toolbar
    WordPress Importer

    How can I clean my blog from trojans without upload new files. Also can I give all the wordpress files permissions 444 (Read only)???!!

    Another thing how can I check my blog files if there’s any virus or shell? is there any anti virus software can do that???

    No, that would restrict file reading to only your server user. Files should be set to 644.

    Another thing how can I check my blog files if there’s any virus or shell? is there any anti virus software can do that???

    Try this plugin and ask your hosting provider to run a virus scan on your account.

    I just want to say something maybe it will help some one ??
    I used kaspersky internet security 2011 trial version to monitor the blog while I am opening it in the browser and the kaspersky did catch a trojan horse in the blog. So I Deactivated all the plugins and Re-Activated them one by one while kaspersky monitor the site until I found the trojan in the plugin called ‘Sociable By Blogplay’.
    So I deleted this plugin and now the blog is clean and the kaspersky didn’t catch any other trojan in the blog.

    So be aware when you use this plugin ‘Sociable By Blogplay’.
