How can I remove the header, footer and posts from index page only.

  • Hi, I have been scouring the forums for a ONE-STOP ANSWER to my query. I am running WordPress 3.7 with a twentyten child theme installed. I also have twentytweleve and twentythirteen themes. I am planning to use an image map on my landing page.I have the plugin for that. However, I need to know how to disable the menu, posts, categories, sidebar, header and footer on the landing page only. I am no CSS code expert but I am not a novice to code either. I know enough to be dangerous….LOL

    I know I can make a custom template but the instruction I found did not match any of the themes I have.

    Any help with this would be greatly appreciate. This is my personal website which I have been neglecting for way to long. If it makes a difference my site is being hosted by GoDaddy.
