    Hello

I use Amazon Cloudfront as CDN under Origin Pull. I no longer wish to use them and want to move to bunnycdn but i don’t know how can i disable cloudfront. If I just disable CDN under general settings, my images stop showing up. I followed a youtube tutorial while setting it up and created a cname cloud to host static content. When i disable cdn the images link still point to cloud
Secondly if i disable W3 Total Cache, does it automatically purges all cache? I remember i clicked on purge cache by mistake once and amazon burned me with the bill, i just want to make sure that disabling the plugin won’t purge cache.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello @vaibhavbthl

Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
After you disable CDN you need to purge the cache in order for the images to be served from your server as the URL is cached E.G:
    https://cloud.rudragems.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/2-Mukhi-Rudraksha-5-324x324.jpg
So if you want to completely disable Cloudfront as CDN, disable the feature in Performnce>General settings, save all settings and purge the cache. Then you can use the other CDN, in your case BunnyCDN as shown in this article.
Disabling W3 Total Cache will not purge the cache, however it will also stop serving cached Pages and if you wish to continue using W3 Total Cache, just follow the steps provided. Purging the cache is needed after disabling the CDN.
    Thanks!

    Hello

Thanks for the prompt response. Just one last thing, if I purge cache after disabling cdn, it won’t send invalidations request to cloudfront right? I have over 40k images on my site and one mis click will cost me over $100 in cloudfront bill so thought to confirm first.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hello @vaibhavbthl

No, it won’t send invalidations because the CDN is disabled and therefore not connected.
This only happens when the CDN is enabled and you purge the cache, then the Cloudfront is invalidating objects.
Disable CDN = CDN is not connected = no invalidations
However, you need to make sure not to enable Cloudfront CDN again.
    Thanks!
