Is it possible to pass an image to a woocommerce personalizable product but not use the “Personalize design” tool?

I would like to have images on my site that user can select, which gets passed (url) with the order to printful. Is there a way to override the image for personalized products?

  • Hey @stevenschopp,

Thank you for reaching out to us!
The feature you describe is not possible by using our Product Personalization Tool,
but if you would like to use designs you have created in advance, we suggest adding additional product variants on the product listing directly on WooCommerce and then syncing them up with matching products and designs on our end.
This way you can have multiple designs within the same listing.

We also welcome your suggestions, so you can add them to our Feature Requests for a Community vote!

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!

Unfortunately uploading in advanced will not work because I have my own personalization tool users will be using on my site.

Does the image url get uploaded with the order? Im wondering if it would be possible to override that url from my side so I can upload an image from my server with the order?

Thank you for your response. You can use your own mockup images on your storefront. When an order is placed on Printful we will use the mockup image as a guideline that we have by default (assigned to when syncing the product on Printful).

You may also test this out yourself by changing the mockup images and placing a test order on your store, make sure to cancel the order before the fulfillment starts!
