How can I manualy delete categories?

    Hi,

    I have a huge blog with about 3,700 posts.
    Problem is, I also have tons of categories. I want to limit that huge list to about 10-15 categories.
    I need a to delete categories and transfer their posts to another.

    How can I do that (via SQL, plugin or wordpress or something…)

    You can just delete the categories in the WP admin. All posts will just have one category less and when they have only the category you delete, they will get the default category “uncategorized” (but you can set the default category before you proceed).

    but is there anyway I can delete Uncategory itself…

    The problem as you see on the current theme is

    It shows two HOME Pages ( AT TOP PAGE– Its pages) and above slideshow

    The HOME tab above slideshow is intended for latest posts…but it misleads the viewers as its PAGE TAB?

    Its confusing question but hope u get it…
    Any help on it>? or ideas
