How can I make such a page in WP??!!

    Hello everyone!

    Need your advice.

    One of my pages must be something like a data base of lost/stolen phones. A person can enter his lost phone’s serial number and add it to the whole data base and the other way is to check the device…entering any serial number to check if that phone is in the data base or not.

    Question: is it possible to make in WP? Something like this – missingphones.org

    Please, advise me any plugin or some other ways.

  • Patience please. By bumping your thread you make it look like someone had replied to it, making it just that much less likely that the right person will read and reply to your question.

    What you want is quite easy to do. You create a plugin that registers some shortcodes, the shortcodes are put into your special pages.
    The shortcodes activate functions which variously:
    -present a search form
    -search the database and present results
    -enter details into the database

    Depending upon your displays, you may also want to use some custom page templates. You are also likely to need some custom css for your displays, accordingly it is wise to use a child theme.

    Suggest that you search the plugins for some which maintain databases, they will provide excellent templates to create your own plugin.
