How can I limit the number of words/characters in a textarea?

    I’d like to be able to limit the content in a textarea by either number of characters or words, and the answer doesn’t seem to be obvious. Of course I’m code blind right now, so that could be part of it.

    I think I saw part of the solution inside the plugin, but can’t seem to find it now, and couldn’t readily understand it when I did see it.

    Nice work on this plugin, David. I tried it out awhile back, and got frustrated (My issues; not the plugin’s). Then I watched one of Pippin’s videos and got fired back up again. Keep up the awesome work!

    thanks for the complement.

    I do want to add a text limiter option to fields but right now its not a feature.

    You could try a sort of javascript. I’m sure you can find a simple one to add to the theme .

    Meanwhile I’ll see what I can find on adding the js to the theme.
