How can I get this plugin to work?

    I new to wordpress and just want to place a picture of a book in my sidebar with a buy and read more link.

    I’ve installed totally booked but can’t get any picture to display. I’m sure i’m missing something obvious but would be grateful if someone could provide step by step instructions to show a book picture in the sidebar, perhaps with a link to amazon.

  • The picture goes into the Featured Images — that’ on the right of your editing space.

    Thanks for posting and for using our plugin. It’s great to meet you, at least here online ??

    Okay, so there are two steps you’ll need to take, in order to accomplish your goal:

    First, add your desired book:
    ? Click the TotallyBooked menu in your WordPress Dashboard navigation, and then click Add New Book
    ? In the resulting window, add the book title in the first box, the book summary text in the second box, and the direct links in the Book Links section
    ? Upload your book cover under the Featured Image section on the right side of that Book page
    ? Once you’re done entering all your content, press the blue Publish button on the right side of the page

    Now, add your sidebar widget:
    ? Go the the Appearance>Widgets section of your Dashboard navigation.
    ? In the list of Available Widgets, find the ‘Totally Booked Widget’
    ? Drag this widget to your sidebar section
    ? Open the Totally Booked widget in your sidebar, type in the title you want to appear for your widget (Can be the name of the book, or anything else you’d like)
    ? The Totally Booked widget will give you a drop-down list of all the books you’ve added into the system. Select the one you want to display.
    ? Hit Save, and you’re done!
