• You know how you can add the RSS feed link in the Link Manager? I’d like to get those links to display on my page.

How would one go about doing that?

  • Click on the rss link at the bottom of page in footer and when it is in your address bar copy it to you link manager and thats it.

Not sure if I was misunderstood. In addition to the links one can put in their menu, there is a place for you to also type/paste in an RSS feed link. I am interested in getting that link to display in my menu in ADDITION to the regular html link.

Get the URL for the RSS feed you want and add it to the link manager just like any other link.

    Hi,

I am also having the same problem. I have entered the RSS feed in the appropriate box, yet it still shows the link as a normal URL.

Does anybody have an example WordPress site where it is working?

On the Add Link page, have you scrolled down and indicated a suitable image for WP to use ?

    Nope! I haven’t yet. *blush* ?? I’ll give it a go!

Right – have added the image, but all it does is replaces the textual URL with a picture. It still links to the site, but doesn’t show the feed.

I was hoping that I could have the actual items contained in the RSS displayed underneath the links. Or have I misinterpretted the intent of the advanced section of the “Add Links” page in the admin panel?

    Okay..

If you just want the regular XML type logo for a feed, just add the feed url, then add the image location. Your readers can then add it to their readers.

If you actually want to display the feed (as in feed items) itself, go here:

    and use that plugin.
Please direct support requests to the plugin author, though it is straightforward.

If it’s something else, you’l have to explain ??

I’d like to do the same thing that Lauren is trying to describe (I think). Basically I’d like the same feature that the categories link tags offer, which would be a link liks lik

    • Boring Weblink (rss)
    • Yet Another (rss)

With the “rss” part a separate link that leads to the feed uri set in the link manager. So on the first part (“Boring Weblink”) goes to the html site, and the other “rss” goes to the feed.

Make sense? A little help? Much appreciated.

    Hello.

Take a look at my tool Built-in RSS Client, its MS Internet Explorer plug-in for handling with RSS feeds. It can display RSS links automaticly, each time you donwload web page.
