How can I get a harassing Blog (in my name) removed?

  • I have been getting harassing phone calls at all hours of the day and night and when I googled my name and “wordpress” I found blogs taken out in my name.

    Hate speech is not free speech and I cannot afford a lawyer. I have a really good idea who the perp is but do not know what to do about him.

    Who can I contact at wordpress to complain and have those blogs removed (the titles use my name) and are for no other purpose than to hurt me.

    These blogs are not blogs, they were taken out in my name for the sole purpose of attacking me.

    HALP!

    I need some contact info and want to talk to a real person

  • Hi Karen,

    It looks like the site in question is via wordpress.COM – you can see the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    This means it may be easier to have the site removed (wordpress.com has a stricter set of guidelines while a .org self hosted site may be unregulated depending on the host), but you’ll have to take your issue up with them.

    Question for Brewinreview: I did find the contact info and took care of both that and the youtube attacks.

    Now, can I – or you – delete these posts with my name on them so as not to trigger anything else from this troll and let him know that I’m on to him?
