Hi. The display of the gallery in the posts depends on their slug (Att. Category slug = post slug). How can I find out the number of images in this gallery? Thanks!

Thanks for your question, and thanks as well for the positive MLA review you posted. Good reviews are a great motivator to keep working on the plugin and supporting its users.

You wrote “The display of the gallery in the posts…” I understand that to mean you are using the [mla_gallery] shortcode to display a gallery of items on a post or page; is that right?

If so, the “Substitution parameters for style templates” include three values you will find useful:

    • found_rows – the total number of items in the gallery before considering pagination parameters
    • current_rows – the number of items in the current page of the gallery, considering any pagination parameters
    • max_num_pages – the number of pages in the gallery

You can find these and many other values in the “Style and Markup Templates” section of the Settings/Media Library Assistant Documentation tab. You can use them in a custom markup template to, for example, compose a gallery header with the total number of images in the gallery.

I am marking this topic resolved, but if I did not understand the question or you have problems or further questions regarding the above suggestions please post an update here and I will give you whatever help I can to use the number of images in your application. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.
