How Can I Exclude the First Instance of the_date ?

  • On my development site (https://defomicron.net/dev), I have started playing around with the the_date function.

    I like what it does but I would like to exclude the first instance of it. Meaning, I don’t want to show the date for the first day of posts on the site.

    I tried to accomplish this by excluding the_date from the first post but this just moved the first date shown to the second post. I hope I’ve been clear with what I’m asking. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
