How can I divide a category page by date?

    Howdy, all! I want to do something I thought would be simple with my archive page, but I can’t figure it out. Any help would be appreciated!

    I add blog entries several times a day. I would like my blog’s archive page — well, technically the category page — to be divided by date, with one header for each day. Something like:

    AUGUST 8

    Entry one title
    Entry one excerpt

    Entry two title
    Entry two excerpt

    AUGUST 7

    Entry one title
    Entry one excerpt

    Entry two title
    Entry two excerpt

    and so on.

    I would like each page of the archives to have three days’ worth of posts on it, so the ‘previous – next’ links would be “Previous Three Days” and “Next Three Days”.

    I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make this work! I feel like I’m missing something obvious, so if you can help I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
