How can I disable Colorbox that's packaged with Adapt theme?

    I recently purchased the Adapt theme and a blank colorbox light box appears when I go to my site.

    The theme offers no settings to control colorbox at all. Can I turn it off manually or delete the portion of the colorbox code that controls the pop up?
