The documentation clearly states that “Deleting custom taxonomies does NOT delete any content added to those taxonomies.”

That is a nice safe default, but what if I was testing and trying out different taxonomy names and options in my sandbox site and wanted to clean house and start over without resetting the whole database.

I’d like to see an option to remove all data for a specific taxonomy. Can someone tell me how do do this? Thanks!

The easiest method would be to register the custom taxonomies again and delete via the WordPress UI. I don’t have any plans to add a feature like this

Thanks Brad for that common sense solution. It is easy to screw up the taxonomy relationships by going outside the UI. This plugin (and your “Professional WordPress” book (first edition) has been a good education for me.
