  • There are as many ways to do that as there are themes. ??

    However, most people who ask are using the Default theme so this may be helpful: Designing_Headers

    so bummed its says to change this part of the header.php file:

    #header {
    background: url(“<?php bloginfo(‘stylesheet_directory’); ?>/images/wc_header.jpg”)
    no-repeat bottom center; }
    #headerimg {
    margin: 7px 9px 0;
    height: 192px;
    width: 740px; }

    and that is not in my file…

    in u theme folder is there a images subfolder?

    if yes check the images folder and look for ur current header . check the dimension of the header image and replace it with the image u want but of the same dimensions .

    For instance ur current header image is header.jpg .

    Make a image of those same dimensions name it header.jpg n replace it in that folder .

    Sorry for poor explanation . kinda sleepy .

    where is the themes folder located? i clicked in wordpress and it just shows the 2 templates (classic & default). do you mean in my ftp files? b/c there is no images subcategory folder there.

    i am so lost and now i have no header – its gone.

    bugger ??

    ohk you are using the default template?! . why not switch to somehting else?

    nt that the classis templace is not good . but just a suggestion .

    if u are using the default theme go to this folder /public_html/wp-content/themes/default/images/

    ul see kubrickheader.jpg .

    Replace this file with ur new header . make sure the names are exactly same .

    and also the dimensions on both the pics are exactly same as well .

    for the classic templace got no idea.

    where is this located on the dashboard of wordpress (/public_html/wp-content/themes/default/images/
    )

    that’s one of my main challenges i dont know where the “folders” are located.

    You don’t do this kind of operations from the dashboard!
    You need a FTP client and all the file uploads should be done via FTP.

    Why dint i know u got no idea of ftp either! . stupid me ??
