• Imagine a text with several paragraphs.
There are equal space between each paragraph. How can I create extra space?

    I have tried these options:
    1. Using enter-key. As soon as I hit the save draft, it automatically goes back.

    2. using </br> tag in HTML tab. When I hit the save draft, the tag disappears.

It’s like wordpress has a will of its own.

One more question. I have embedded a youtube video in HTML tab and clicked on save draft.
When going back to Visual tab, I can see the video is there. But if I so much as put the cursor in the editor and then
hit the save draft, the video disappears. Can someone tell me why it’s like this?

    Thank you in advance.

  • If you are using the Visual Editor, try pressing SHIFT+Enter.

Don’t switch tabs. As you’ve seen, the Visual Editor will remover all of the HTML markup. You don’t need to paste in markup to embed YouTube videos. See Embeds.

    Hi esmi,

The SHIFT+Enter didn’t work for creating extra space.

As for the video embedding, I did like the instruction said, put the url using Visual editor. But when viewing the post, all I get is a link to the video.

    More ideas, anybody?
