How can I create a subdomain network on this kind of server?

  • I can use on the server,
    *.example.com, .htaccess, mod-rewrite.

    But when I tend to use subdomains like “www1.example.com, www2.example.com ……”, the server makes new directory for each domain under /public_html automatically.

    The server serves no chatch-all system.

    Can I run a WordPress3.2.1 network on the server?
    If you tell me possible or not, I’ll appreciate any replies you make.
