How can I create a link to a registered users own website

  • Hello
    Really hope someone can help with this.

    The Plan
    Registered User Signs In and has access to a Custom Post Type format called “Listing” where they can submit details of an Item they have for sale and select the custom taxonomies such as Item Location, Item Price, Item Condition etc.

    Un-registered Site Visitor can view these Posts and if interested in the listing can contact the User Directly using a link (Enquire Button) on the post which links directly to the users website or email address.

    I have created the Custom Post “Listings” with the Taxonomies but not sure how to create the enquire link or give the Registered User access to only this custom Post format???

    Any help would be greatly Appreciated

  • Adding a clickable link almost anywhere can be as simple as this:
    <a title="https://www.usersite.com" href="https://www.www.usersite.com" target="_blank">user name</a>

    ‘Members’ is a plugin that will let you choose capabilities for any user role and even make custom user roles. However, I do not know whether it will target a specific category or post format.

    What I really want is to create an imput field where the User can just paste their website address and it will automatically create a link button on the post “Enquire” Can I do that with custom fields?
