How Can I change the main/top menu font size

I would like to increase the font size in the main menu tabs on https://redwoodssociety.com.On https://testing.redwoodssociety.com
I tried the following in my CSS editor (not the edit screen) and it didn’t work..primary-navigation a {
font-size: 16px;Can you advise me?
