    Hi,

I am fairly new to CSS but keen to learn its language. As a result, I have decided to refrain as much as possible from plugins and code files directly via FTP.

Within my WordPress theme, I have located one of the stylesheets within:
    /httpdocs/wp-content/uploads.

I now would like to make quite a few edits. As to prevent customisation loss, I have created a child theme and copied the file into the child theme. I have noticed that any edits I do within the child theme are not being recognised.

Does anyone know of what configurations I would need to perform, in order for the stylesheet in the child theme to take higher priority over the stylesheet in the current uploads folder? As a side note, I have tried deleting the stylesheet in the Uploads folder, but the stylesheet in the child theme is still not being recognised. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can resolve this matter?

    Regards

    Craig

    what theme are you using?

what code is used to call the stylesheet from the /uploads/ folder?

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response. Would this code be within the functions.php file?

that would depend on your currently used theme.

    what theme are you using?
