How can I add social icons to the top bar

    I’m working with the Karuna them,e and my site is prepbulication. In the demo example, there are social icons in the top right of the top bar. How do I add those? I’ve found a lot of good tips to customize the top bar color and adding displaying the tagline there, but no help on how to add the social icons to the right. Thanks so much for any help.

  • At your site’s Dashboard, go to Appearance on the left, then click Customize. On the next page, click Menus, then click Create New Menu, check Social Menu and it should be self explanatory after that.

    Thank you for your reply. I had tried that, and there isn’t a Social Menu on that screen. So I created a Social Menu. There’s only one location listed, and the choice is the Main Menu or the Social Menu. That won’t work.
    In the demo example, there is a social menu in the very top bar – not where the main menu is. I’d like to have one like the example above the main menu. I found a a site that had one other than just the demo: https://www.apana.dk/.

    Install Jetpack, you’ll then get a Social Menu option in the Menu Locations page.

    Yes! Jetpack worked perfectly. I spent too much time trying to figure it out on my own. I should’ve come to the forum first. Jarret, thank you so much.

    Hi,

    I found the Social Menu on my one, but I don’t know what to do after, I don’t know how to link the Instagram and LinkedIn and Facebook to the buttons on the top header strip.

    Any help for that please?

    Hi! This is how I did it. Dashboard -> Appearance -> Customize -> Menus -> Social Menu. Then choose to Add Items and Custom Link. Enter the name and location. Here a link to a screenshot page I set up for you: https://russrandallforhouse.com/customize/. There are two images. I hope this helps.
