I am trying to figure out how to add some text and a banner image under the category images. I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for…I found a few sites that I though had some help but they were for something different. I know it’s probably easy to do I just don’t know what exactly to add or where. Below is the footer section right under the bottom of the category images, which is where I need to place the banner & text (between the bottom of the images & the top of the footer). Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi @mfghost,

You’ll need to do a bit of customization, perhaps by using a block or another page builder addon like Elementor. WooCommerce provides a “Featured Category” block by default, which could be of assistance.

However, if you’re aiming to match the style like your attached screenshot, you might need to customize it further or consider using an additional plugin such as ProductX.

Additionally, if you’re not comfortable with Block, you might need to consider using a page builder like Elementor. It’s a plugin for WordPress that allows you to design your pages visually, including category pages. You can easily add text, images, and banners without any coding.

For reference, these particular forums are meant for general support with the core functionality of WooCommerce itself. For development, customization, and custom coding questions, it’s best to ask for insight related to those on either the WooCommerce Advanced Facebook group or the WooCommerce Community Slack. Many of our developers hang out there and will be able to offer insights into your question. You can also seek help from the following:

I wish I could help more, but hopefully, this gets you going in the right direction to get some further insight/information.

thank you bro @shameemreza, I disabled the blocks but maybe I’ll try Elementor. That’s drag & drop I think, never used that either. First I’ll double-check for some code I can maybe add to the theme files. Appreciate the help man, thanks.

    Hi @mfghost,

Yes, you are correct. Elementor is a user-friendly, drag-and-drop page builder that allows you to add text and banner images to your site easily. It’s a great tool for those who are not comfortable with coding.

As for adding code to the theme files, please be careful. Any changes you make to the theme files will be lost when you update the theme. Instead, consider using a child theme or a custom plugin for your customizations. This will ensure that your changes are preserved when you update the theme.

Meanwhile, I will mark this thread as resolved. Should you have further inquiries, kindly create a new topic here.

    Thanks!
