• I want to restrict the access of visitors to only a certain no. of words of the post, and they must register to see the full contents. The way I am thinking to implement it is to add a link to my registration page instead of the traditional link associated with the --more-- tag, how can I do this?
    TIA

  • There are several WP membership plugins that take care of that. Did you have a look at them?

I am using s2member pro? but could not find an option where I could restrict the no. of words being displayed.

I am sort of able to restrict the no. of characters being displayed, but am unable to generate a custom URL for the ‘Membership Signup’ page, by using get_permalink(get_page_by_title('Membership Signup')); which I am unable to determine why? it instead returns me the link to the current post?
I am using a slightly modified version of the plugin the_content_limit, by ‘Alfonso Sanchez-Paus Diaz y Julian Simon de Castro’, I will appreciate any input from someone which could help me sort this out.
