how can I access my site my typing the domain name only ?

  • I have successfully installed wordpress in a one.com hosting site.
    when uploading the wordpress folder following instructions given somewhere I uploaded the whole wordpress folder and then installed.
    after the installation I am trying to access the site by typing the domain name but i cant, i have to write https://www.domainname.com/wordpress to acceess.
    how can I access the site without adding that wordpress? what should I do ?
    actually i am new to wordpress
