How can a user make changes in the plugin-settings?

  • Hello,

    my question is regarding the section “plugins”. I created a new role (based on editor) and I allowed the entire section “plugins”. But the user is not allowed to change the settings of a plugin. What do i have to change to make that possible?

    Hi Moriaan,

    “Plugins” capabilities group is responsible for the access to the installed plugins list, activate, deactivate, delete, install plugins.

    Plugins protects their settings pages differently. Some plugin may use ‘manage_options’ capability. Other plugin may add its own custom capability for this purpose. So the answer on your question depends from the plugin to which settings page you wish to grant access.
