How and here Continue Reading Link at each Post on Front Page

I have added the code line “> Read More…

after the <?php the_excerpt(); ?>

But the Read More is shown below a Share link.

I want that it should show right after the last word of post summary that ends at […].

So any suggestion?

Oh but I did find the solution

Add this to functions `// Replaces the excerpt “more” text by a link
function new_excerpt_more($more) {
global $post;
return ‘… <a class=”moretag” href=”‘. get_permalink($post->ID) . ‘”>→  L?s mere</a>’;
}
add_filter(‘excerpt_more’, ‘new_excerpt_more’)`

That code should go to child theme functions.php.

And there is no need for global $post. Remove that line and replace $post->ID with get_the_ID().
