    Hi Aakash,

is there a privacy policy for your great plugin? Datamining is a big issue, of course.
Plugins like addthis are intensive even though their policy reads like a mister nice guy story (https://www.addthis.com/privacy#.Ug8xX2R5zk0), but at least they have one ??
BTW: That is the reason I would NOT recommend that one! ??

I assume that WP Socializer is doing much better, but I would like to know for sure…

Could you provide some information on that?

That would be just great, because I like this plugin a lot!

    Best

    Boris

    Hi Boris,

Thanks for using my plugin. WP Socializer is just plugin to use the social widgets/button provided by the social sharing websites to share in their sites easily.

Privacy policies are maintained by the sites which provide the social button. For ex: Facebook provides the like button and it is used here. So the privacy terms can be read in FB’s site. This applies to all buttons.

WP Socializer acts as a tool to gather all the buttons are use them easily without any extra work using the admin page within wordpress.

And for my satisfaction, I have a simple stats on which website my plugin (WP Socializer) is used ( only the first time the plugin is installed on a site ) I do this for my analysis and plugin improvement. I use the WordPress stats service to send me the websites which use my plugin. The data only includes the “URL of the site” no other data is sent back to me when the plugin is installed. This is just my “personal plugin download counter” thats all.

If you don’t like the “credit links” which appear below the floating sharebar, then I gave an option to disable it under the “Global settings” tab.

    Thank you.

    Hi Vaakash,

thank you for this satisfying answer! Maybe you put it in your FAQ!?
The way you are handling this is good and much different from plugins like Addthis. So it’s really good to know and one more reason to choose your plugin instead.

    Thx

    Best
