Hover not lining up

Hi,
I’ve been using your plug-in for a while and it has been great until recently, now that the hover shadow doesn’t match up when the user rolls over the part of the image.

I followed the instructions in this thread:

but didn’t have any luck. Also, I use your plug-in for multiple image maps of different sizes.

I believe that this change has something to do with upgrading to WordPress 3.9, as this has seemed to have a negative effect on other plug-ins as well.

Is there a simple fix for this?
