Does it work on a default theme with the other plugins deactivated?

It appears to work in the default theme. However, the only thing I upgraded was this plugin. I haven’t updated anything else. Do you have a previous version I can try to downgrade to?

You can find the previous versions here if you need to do that.

What is the theme you are currently using?

Reverting back to version 2.1.6.1 has fixed the issue for me. Hovering is working as before.

I too am having a problem with the hover feature not working. It started a at least 2-3 updates back (admittedly I don’t always check this feature on the website when I should). I’ve had bigger things to contend with, so I’m just getting to it now. I’m using the Astrum theme, also from Themeforest. The calendar works in the default theme. I will try to do what Rage did and revert to 2.1.6.1 and see if that works.

Reverting to 2.1.6.1 worked for me too. Hopefully the issue can be sorted out in future updates.

Thanks for all the info guys. We will continue to look into it to see if there is something we can do better on our end.

Does the “Always enqueue scripts and styles” option in the General settings of the plugin help anyone?

I have installed the plugin in a new site I’m doing and it appears while hovering the numbers wasn’t showing the events. So I tested if it was the theme and this was positive.

After reading this I tried to install the 2.1.6.1 version and the surprise is that is working!

I’m using this theme in case you need to gather more information

It did not help. I updated to the latest version 2.2.3 and that checkbox was already selected. Hover still did not work. I unchecked it, saved, checked it again. Tested hover and it still did not work. I’m going back to the old version again. Thanks for trying though!

I will confirm GCE 2.2.1 will not show events on hover in IE 10 and 11 in every version of Windows that can run those browsers.

It DOES work properly in Firefox 36, Chrome 41 and Opera 27 in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, and in IE 8 and 9 in Windows 7.

On the Mac, it works on every browser I’ve tried, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera.

So, at least for me, the only issues are with IE 10 and 11.

I hope there’s a fix soon, this is my favorite calendar plugin. I’ll check the threads and lurk some more now.

Could you all post links where this behavior is happening so we can take a look?

    Thanks!

In my case the newer versions of GCE were not working in Chrome, because that is where I was primarily checking. I am currently using 2.1.6.1 which does work. My calendar is at: https://www.slcsaustin.org/student-life/ if that helps.

FYI, as I say in the thread I started for my own instance of this bug, I’ve resolved it in my setup. I had an old setting in my theme (suffusion w/child theme) that caused the issues with later versions of IE.

So now I’ve got it working everywhere, to the best of my testing and feedback from users.

Turns out it was a setting in suffusion for making the site compatible with IE 7. I turned it off, and voila! Everything works.

Good luck to all of you, I know it drove me crazy.
